THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR Mining Services is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to provide administrative support across our Human Resources and Recruitment functions on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on organisation and coordination, and is passionate about creating a positive employee and candidate experience. You will play a key role in supporting recruitment activities, onboarding processes, employee lifecycle administration, and HR projects across our national operations.

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager and working closely with the broader HR and Recruitment team, this opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of people-related activities and provides a strong foundation for future career development within Human Resources or Recruitment.

Based in Thiess’ South Bank office, this role offers flexible work arrangements and the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, high-performing team that values trust, support, and shared success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to the HR and Recruitment teams across a variety of workforce initiatives.
  • Coordinate recruitment administration, including job postings, candidate communications, interview scheduling, and onboarding documentation.
  • Manage and facilitate pre-employment requirements including medicals, reference checks, police clearances, qualifications, and licences.
  • Prepare employment contracts, new starter documentation, and employee correspondence.
  • Support the onboarding process to ensure a smooth and positive experience for new employees.
  • Maintain accurate employee and candidate records across HR systems and databases.
  • Assist with reporting, data entry, compliance tracking, and document management.
  • Respond to general HR and recruitment enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities including transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes.
  • Assist with HR projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement activities as required.

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, within a high pace and high attention to detail environment..
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working across systems and databases.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to support a busy team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
