PYBAR – a Thiess Company, is a mining services provider with core competencies in metalliferous underground hard rock mining. We deliver a range of projects, from large established mining operations to greenfield developments across Australia. The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and fleet.  

THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR are looking for experienced Underground Fitters to join our team at Eloise Copper Mine in Noth Queensland!

This is a full time position on a 2:2 FIFO roster, flights provided from major QLD airports with meals and accommodation included.

You will work both independently and as a part of a team, delivering high quality maintenance and repairs across our underground fleet. This is a great opportunity to expand your underground fitting experience in a supportive and safety focused environment.

Previous experience with CAT and Volvo equipment is highly regarded. Exposure to Sandvik drills is also advantageous.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Trade qualifications – Diesel Fitter (Essential)
• Exposure to Sandvik Underground Drill Rigs (Advantageous)
• Have proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (Essential)
• Experience with CAT and Volvo equipment (Advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
• A strong focus on safety
• Hold a current Australian Drivers License
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
