THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR is seeking experienced Senior Raisebore Drillers to join our highly regarded Raisebore Division and play a key role in delivering specialised underground mining projects across Australia.

As a Senior Raisebore Driller, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Raisebore equipment while leading crews to achieve exceptional safety, production, and project outcomes. You will bring strong technical expertise, a commitment to mentoring others, and a proactive approach to maintaining high operational standards.

This role will be responsible for:

• Safely operating and maintaining Raisebore drilling equipment in accordance with site procedures and PYBAR standards.
• Leading drilling crews and providing mentorship, guidance, and on-the-job training to team members.
• Ensuring Raisebore drilling activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project schedules.
• Monitoring drilling performance and implementing improvements to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
• Conducting pre-start inspections, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of Raisebore equipment.
• Identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, and equipment defects while actively contributing to risk management initiatives.
• Maintaining accurate drilling records, reports, and shift documentation.
• Collaborating closely with Supervisors, Engineers, and site personnel to achieve production targets and project objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Demonstrated recent experience operating Raisebore drilling equipment in an underground mining environment (Essential).
• Proven ability to lead crews, mentor team members, and drive a strong safety culture.
• Sound knowledge of Raisebore drilling techniques, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong commitment to safety, hazard identification, and risk management practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment while maintaining high productivity standards.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously in remote mining operations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
• National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
