PYBAR – a Thiess Company, is a mining services provider with core competencies in metalliferous underground hard rock mining. With origins dating back to 1993, our success is based on safe, rapid underground infrastructure development and consistent, reliable production. We deliver a range of projects, from large established mining operations to greenfield developments across Australia. The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and fleet.  

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently looking for experienced underground fitters to join our Raise Bore Division. Working autonomously as well as part of a team and ensuring a high quality of work, you will gain and expand your experience and knowledge of underground fitting. Previous experience working on Raise Bore equipment is not essential, but applicants must have proven and evident experience working with multiple types of underground equipment. 

This position will see you working a 14 on, 14 off roster in a full-time position with accommodation and meals covered. This role has various points of hire, we offer flights from all major airports! 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Trade qualifications  – Diesel Fitter trade (Essential)
• Epiroc RCS experience highly regarded 
• Have proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (Essential)
• Experience with CAT, Sandvik and Volvo equipment (Advantageous)
• Experience working on Raise Bore equipment (Advantageous, but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
• A strong focus on safety
• Hold a current Australian Drivers License
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
