PYBAR – a Thiess Company, is a mining services provider with core competencies in underground hard rock mining. With origins dating back to 1993, our success is based on safe, rapid underground development and consistent, reliable production. We deliver a range of projects, from large established mining operations to greenfield developments across Australia. The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and fleet.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a project engineer and graduate engineers to join our team at Eloise Copper Mine, in QLD. This position will offer contracting experience with an established underground contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive to develop their career in underground mining.

The position will suit an applicant who has graduated within the last 3 years with exposure to working in underground. Candidates who are close to graduating will also be considered. If you still require some underground time towards you managers ticket, we can accommodate that also.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mining, Civil) completed within the last 3 years, or nearing completion
• QLD based applicants preferred
• Experience in underground hard rock mining (Preferred)
• Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence
• Hold a current (<12 months) Nation Police Clearance – or be willing to obtain one
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
• A strong focus on safety
